April 2016

The KAM Club was formed in October 1988 following the successes of the early Kettering Vintage & Classic Car Shows that began in 1985. Whilst most of our Members belong to their specific One-Make Car Club we are able to offer a local link to the world of ‘Historic Motoring’.

We are a multi-marque club and our member’s vehicles cover over 60 years of motoring history. We meet at The Kettering Golf Club off Thurston Drive, on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (pass The Leisure Village, Lighthouse Theatre, Conference Centre, and follow the signs for the Golf Club. Check the Website for location map and directions).

Through the ‘closed season’ September –April we enjoy the cosy atmosphere of The Main Function Room from 7.30 pm where we have Guest Speakers often from within the KAM Club itself and indulge in discussions centred on all things related to historic transport and their uninterrupted and sustained use.

During the longer day light evenings between May and August we continue to meet at The Kettering Golf Club for a ‘Bring your Classic Car’ Meet from 6.30pm again on the 3rd Wednesday monthly.

Our Members’ cars cover a period of Automobile History from 1919 – 1986. Do you own and cherish a vehicle within these periods? Do you live locally?

We display at various events throughout the season as a Club and provide information to encourage members to get involved in as many activities as suits their needs.

Subs are £18:00 p.a. plus a one off joining fee of £2:00. We produce a monthly 16-20 page magazine ‘The KAMFOLLOWER’ which lists many of the season’s events along with reports and issues that affect the freedom to use our chosen Historic Vehicles.

The Club Membership year begins as from 1st April and new members are welcomed at any time and will receive appropriate back issues of the magazine to bring them up to date accordingly.
